A reason why he is a Forty: He serves as second vice chair of the YMCA Professional Network and has served on the Dean's Advisory Council for the Iowa State University College of Human Sciences.

What drives him: His grandmother. “My grandmother lived and loved until age 99. Toward the end she would become disappointed that her days weren't as fulfilling or busy. Many could have said, ‘That's how life is at 99.’ She didn't believe it. She wanted to live a full life, up until her last day,” he said.

An interesting fact about Weig: He once rode his bike across America raising money for the American Cancer Society.
