A reason why she is a Forty: She has seen her business grow to include two associate advisers and to earn Captain's Club Status for the last three years after overcoming the challenge of purchasing a highly valued financial planning business in 2007, months before giving birth and then experiencing the market crash of 2008.  

What drives her: Other people’s successes. “In my job the greatest compliment is when clients' come in unclear, stressed, uncertain and often stuck with their money decisions. … To work through the puzzle with them and have my clients say, ‘Thank you. I feel so much better now having talked to you,’ ” she said.

An interesting fact about Erkamaa: She enjoys outdoor adventures such as boondocking, snowshoeing and jeeping.
