What are your goals in your role at your company?
My goals at the Financial Empowerment Center are to strengthen current partnerships and cultivate new community partnerships to infuse financial education into the Greater Des Moines area. I want to embrace the idea of helping individuals to empower money so it works for them.
What’s your biggest passion, and why?
Racial equity. My biggest passion grew in college. Growing up in multicultural environments made me believe systemic racism was finished. As I entered college and learned differently, it has become my mission to talk to others about what equity is and find ways to create equity in the world around me.
