What are your goals in your role at your company?

I am responsible for representing the Iowa Hospital Association in front of governmental bodies, including the Iowa Legislature, governor’s office and government agencies. Two things I am currently working on are expanding emergency medical services in rural Iowa and ensuring insurers adequately reimburse hospitals for the care they provide.

What’s your biggest passion, and why?

Helping people connect who share common goals. My job is to bring people together who want to develop legislative solutions to solve problems. When I can help bring associations, people, companies and legislators together (especially in a bipartisan fashion) to help hospitals and the Iowans who use them, I have succeeded in my job.
