Tiffany Tauscheck
Class of 2008
Chief strategy officer,
Greater Des Moines Partnership
What’s one issue you’re very passionate about?
The continued growth and momentum of DSM USA is incredibly exciting. It is not one person or one organization making great things happen in our region. It’s our community coming together. Whether we are rallying around water trails, the DSM airport or the largest skatepark in the U.S., we come together to make big things happen, and I find that very inspiring.
How do you handle setbacks?
With every failure and rejection there are lessons to learn and new paths to discover. The key is to get back up and keep forging on even after you have been knocked down. After all, tomorrow is a new day with new opportunities.
What advice would you give to young people who want to make an impact?
We do what we do at the Greater Des Moines Partnership because we care about our community and we are driven to make an impact alongside others. We are fortunate to live in a place where you can get involved and make a difference. Don’t be afraid to raise your hand and help shape the future. We want and need new and diverse perspectives.
