What advice would you give to young people who want to make an impact?
Don’t stop finding ways to give back because you’ve only begun warming up. You have no idea the path your life will take you and the leadership opportunities to be presented to you in the future. Continue to embrace those opportunities, and our community will be the better for it. We all have a civic rent check to pay every month.
What’s one of your everyday habits that helps you be successful?
Find time for yourself. Whether it’s exercise, reading, or any other hobby, set aside time for yourself. Those quiet times doing something you enjoy are when your brain is engaged and working to make you an even better person.
How do you handle setbacks?
I try to learn lessons from setbacks. It’s easy to second-guess, but it’s better to reassess the entire situation and build from it. An outcome to any situation can never be guaranteed, but if one can learn from and improve on a setback, it’s a learning opportunity.
